This amazing column was salvaged from a demolished Philadelphia corner store. It is made of cast iron and is painted with light surface rust. The base is round, the round shaft is fluted and the top is square with a very ornate cast iron capital. There is a round hole through the length of the column for wiring if you're thinking of making a lamp post. It measures 118 inches tall, 10 diameter at the very bottom and 11.75 square at the top.
Weight is appx 350-400 pounds. Overall it is in good condition.
Scratches, chips and dings as it is antique. Please look at the pictures carefully.

I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse.
The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! This item is in the category "Antiques\Architectural & Garden\Columns & Posts". The seller is "bigsteveareno29" and is located in this country: US.
